Uma G. Iyer, M.D.
Medical Oncologist, Hematologist

Born and trained in India, Dr. Uma Iyer earned her degree in Medicine from Stanley Medical College, University of Madras, after which she did postgraduate training in ophthalmology for a year. After relocating to the United States, she completed a residency in internal medicine at East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, NC and a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. After a short private practice tenure in Las Vegas, Dr. Iyer moved to Florida and joined Community Cancer Center in 2003. She is board certified in medical oncology and hematology.

Dr. Iyer enjoys quality family time, fine Indian cooking, classical music and working in their home garden. She is happily married for 20 years and has 3 children.
