FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
COMMUNITY CANCER CENTER TO HOST BREAST CANCER SCREENING EVENT Free Cancer Screenings Offered to Public.

October 18, 2011 (GAINESVILLE, FL and LAKE CITY, FL) – Community Cancer Center of North Florida (CCCNF) will host a breast cancer screening event at their Gainesville and Lake City locations this Saturday, October 22nd. The event will take place from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling 888-681-6388.

"October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to support individuals and their families who have dealt with or are currently dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis. This month, we are offering a free breast cancer screening event at both of our center locations. The screening is open to the public, and as always, we encourage our community to get themselves checked. We believe in making the extra effort to detect cancer earlier, or perhaps prevent it altogether. Our free screening event is just one way we choose to promote and support this ideal" states CCCNF Radiation Oncologist Laurel Warwicke, MD. "We will continually offer a variety of free screening opportunities for the community as a constant reminder that early detection is lifesaving."

Area residents and visitors are invited to attend this special event to receive complimentary Breast Cancer screenings. Massages and light refreshments will be provided while people wait.
