Originally from Victoria, Canada, Dr. Laurel Warwicke earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Afterwards, she underwent two years of residency in general surgery at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York, NY followed by a residency in radiation oncology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond where she served as chief resident. She then began working in private practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL prior to joining the Community Cancer Center of North Florida in 2004. A board certified radiation oncologist, Dr. Warwicke participates as a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American College of Radiology. As well, she is a board member of the American Cancer Society, Alachua Unit. Dr. Warwicke’s special interest in breast cancer has led to publication of her expertise on breast brachytherapy and the treatment of breast cancer. When not working Dr.Warwicke enjoys reading, travelling and cooking.
